I dont think this looks to bad... should be a straight forward fix.....
As I am only looking to have a good workable boat for the kids and not a show piece I think I may go the tuff coat route on the inside.......
I would love to hear from anyone that has sprayed this coating on.....

Well so far things are going along really well..... Sanding is slow......:o but I want to uncover everything. i have been using an air and elec. DA sanders...... with 40 & 60 grit.... the hull has lots of "pock" marks in it..... going to be alot of Marine filler.....:D

Sorry it's been so long.... Winter work has kept me from doing much on the boat. I am going to make huge strides on her in May... Today is so nice I thought I might get her out for a few Photos.... I will post them tonight......B)

Hey danedg,
The gel-coat is so badly "Crazed" that this is the only route. And I want it done right..... Also as you can see I uncovered a spot that someone else had patched..... Good to know about these things...
Lucky this patch was fixed the right way.....!

Was that boat always DownEast...?
I've never seen a Northern boat finish do that...
Maybe in the South...where they bake the snot out of 'em....
Looks like she took water...then froze....thus the damage at the gunwales....Who knows....But you're doin'it right...and that's all that matters...!
Check under them cleats for water entry.....
Best....
Dan
