I've have about a 4 sq in and some smaller areas of paint peel off of my Merc 200; Year 2000. Is this a Por15 type of repair? I have had mixed results using Por15 so far in a Marine environment. Have applied the Por15 with the UV resistant Top Coat. Is there a more applicable, better product?
Thanks for the help

What part of the motor are we talking about?

The straight section of the lower end. Below the Engine and above the horizontal fins at the bottom. Just above where the motor comes down and hits the rubber bumpers for full tilt forward.
There was an Easy Steer bracket mounted there with hose clamps / rubber to steer the kicker. Easy Steer Rod between motors. The mount tore off and I am replacing it. The clamp rubbed off some of the paint there and now it is peeling a bit.

I'd just buy a can of Mercury Phantom Black spray paint and have at it.
What Whaler do you have that you need the EZ Steer?

Outrage 18. It came with it when I bought it. When it broke was just dropping the main to act as a rudder....which seemed to work out ok. Except when it was windy and I was solo fishing, then I kinda missed it.
