What is the best way to run wire from stern of boat through the rigging tunnel? The access hole in the floor of my console is right under the side access door and I am trying to fish a new Antenna wire from the stern through to the console. It is hard to reach the middle of the console and access the rigging tunnel without removing the console itself.
Is it safe to use regular electrical fish tape? I don't want to be poking around the mess of wires running through the tunnel and end up tearing the shield on wire

I started at the stern and fished to the center console. I used an electrical fish tape and wrapped electrical tape around the end. I just used "soft hands" and was careful and patient. I didn't do any damage and it was pretty easy. When I connected the wires to the fish tape to pull back through, I also fished 2 additional leads for future use.
Good luck.

One trick is to use a wire already there in the console. Unhook and tie a string and pull it and the string back to the stern. Pull the new wire, old wire and a extra string on the return trip.
If not, fish tape works too.

I did it the same way Phil did. Worked well. (don't forget the extra cord for the next time) Rich B)

I used my toilet snake. It worked great. Nice and stiff and it was easily maneuvered when it hung up.
