A friend at work took a ride in my boat, it didn't take very long for the "Whaler" bug to bite him. He absolutely LOVES "Whaler's", This week he went looking for a used 13' sport, we found one in "Fixable" shape, he got all lined up and excited, and the seller "Balked" on the deal at the last minute and backed out. The poor guy is "Heart Broken", I explained how the "Game" goes when buying these boat's, he look's so defeated. I suggested that now he must look "Harder", and under "EVERY" rock, there's 1 out there with his name on it, now go find it. One thing that "W/C" has taught me is "NEVER GIVE UP" ! ;)

MW,
I agree, Whaler Owners are a hardy bunch and "Never Give Up" is a great moto for us all. I looked for years for my first Whaler back in the late 80's and now I am on my second.

There is always a few 13 foot Whalers on Craigslist in Florida, don`t know about Long Island. but the prices here always seem reasonable. Check it out.

Thank's Bink,
I've decided to go on a "Crusade" for that little 13' sitting for years between the two warehouses near work, I have located the owner through "Good Detective work" and plan on making an offer.
Thank's for the help !

`I am also trying to buy a 15 ft. sport (1976) that has sat outside for several years uncovered. The owner will hear nothing of selling the boat. His own family wants it out of the yard. I just dont understand it.

This guy too, I found one 13' in good shape (the guy won't sell even though he has no car to tow it with). The other one 13' is getting severely weathered (engine in pieces, cover blown off), and somebody backed a truck into one side smashing through the glass (Repairable) on the port side, it's now getting "Damaged" where it sit's, that's the one that's "painful" for me.
