FYI, for the benefit of future searches on this website...
The wooden center cap on the steering wheel of my 1977 Outrage 21 was busted. I was having a hard time finding a replacement. The ones on eBay were not the right size - too big. Went to West Marine - no dice. Guy said they stopped carrying them a long time ago. Emailed the site sponsors of this website, no luck.
My wheel has a 2 1/8" hole for the cap, and the diameter of the "face" of the cape was 2 1/2".
After a fair amount of googling, I found that Schmitt Steering Wheels sells the perfect replacement. The call it Small Brown Wood Cap (for 310 and 410 Series). Part number is CAP1S.
I bought it directly from Schmitt, but also saw it at go2marine.com. Here are some links...

You can also get black plastic, or chromed plastic if you want it would appear.
My new wood cap came in the mail yesterday, and is an exact match for the broken original. They even threw in a new set screw (had to ask them for it though).
Hope this info helps someone else...

$?. I didn't mind my plastic one until i re-did the wood on another member's Whaler. That wood cap is a nice touch. I warned him his cap may look like black plastic when I was through, but he wasn't falling for that :D

Thanks for doing the leg work on this, I haven't had one on my 13 for 4 years. I'm ordering it tomorrow.

gigem,
How about a photo for the OEM Parts Photo section?
Just the cap before you put it in the steering wheel would be great...
