There is a 17 foot whaler up for bids at the Canadian Government website. It appears to be an Outrage Guardian. The Hull ID # is BWCCA862B494
Can someone confirm my suspicion?
The description says the hull is soaked and is unsafe in the water. They have no idea where the leak is. Does anyone have experience in drying out a commercial hull and finding the leak? I'm thinking of bidding on this boat. My experience with a 15 Super Sport was to find hull damage,drain the affected area, let dry ,repair the damage and hit the water.

I saw the whaler today...lots of hull patches...The whaler is completely saturated..the only way to repair it is to gut the insides out....it is a 1994 with a 1999-2000 outboard.It has not been running for quite sometime....bid low

Thanks, I only read your message on Tuesday morning. I did bid low and also have a right of refusal and by your description, this sound like a LARGE project. I don't think my wife could take it.
I'll keep an eye on the web site to see how much the lucky bidder gets it for.
I've seen some ridculus prices paid for beaten whalers at this site.
