What is the vertical garage opening and depth necessary to accommodate a 2006 Montauk 170 CC with a Karavan trailer and swing-away tongue. Stated differently, what is the height above ground of the boat on the trailer and the oveall length of the rig? If I already owned the boat, I could do the measurements myself, but at the moment I'm considering a purchase and would prefer not to trust a saleman's measurments or buy a boat that may not fit my garage. Thanks for the guidance.

Grey-
Welcome to WC.
For length:
Typically, it is the LOA of the hull, plus 2 feet for the engine in the tilted down position + 3' for the trailer. I would say 23' front to back.
For height, a 7' door height will work. If tight, you can lower the bow to have the console rail clear the door and then raise it back up.

My Montauk on the trailer without the swing tongue is 23' long, 7' 6'' wide on a Magic Tilt trailer and 6'6" high. It will clear a 7' door, You can stand next to the boat on the trailer and estimate the height or bring the tape measure and measure it yourself. Use a adjustable front trailer wheel and crank it up or down to adjust the height.
