I was visiting a nearby outboard dealer/Marina talking with the service personnel. I was inquiring about repowering my 25 Outrage and the installation of new outboards on an older (1991) Whaler transom. (I made it clear I wasn't repowering anytime soon just looking for feedback) One of the techs told me, Whaler transoms have very little wood in them and the wood that is in the transom is saturated with resin. He has never come across a rotten Whaler transom. He went on to say Whaler transoms are mostly glass.....
Any thoughts on this statement? Is this true?
