Considering a Yamaha 25 hp two stroke for my 13' sport. Is anyone running this setup? If so, how is the performance? Thanks!

Should be okay though not a speed demon. I think you'd be able to get on a plane with two adults on board. If it were me, I'd put a 40 hp on her.

If my motor gives me any more trouble I would go with the Yamaha 25hp. At 105lbs., it's the lightest 25 hp (etec is next at 150 lbs.)and Yamaha makes good motors. I don't water ski or have more than three people in my boat at a time.(usually just 2)

You have to watch the weights at the respective websites because most of the time they are showing the lightest weight motor without electric start, power trim, short shaft, etc.
You need to add that weight on to the engine unless it specifically says it is included in the weight.
The Yamaha 25 is for short shaft, Manual start tiller model at 105 pounds.
The E-Tec 30 is for Long Shaft, Electric start with Power Trim and Tilt at 177 pounds.
Make sure you take into consideration all of the above when getting a total weight for a particular engine.

Ryan, also some useful info in this current thread about powering a 13 if you haven't seen it. (Probably other similar threads here too.)
