I have the same problem as the picture I linked you guys too. Do you guys think I should:
1. plug the hold and patch up solid , then redrill hole ?
Or
2. tape up the bow eye threads, stick through hole and patch around the eye bolt minus the eye on it?

The link doesn't work for me. Take a look at the pics on my project page of the teflon rods. They keep the hole true while you repair the damage. Light tap with a hammer and they slide out to leave a perfect hole. There is before and afters of the bow eye hole. Very neat
