Hello,

I like to add a steering arm between my kicker and main motor. My boat is a 17 Montauk, with an 8hp Honda and a 90hp Yamaha. I've looked through the forum posts and haven't found any notes on it. I'll need to be able to run with the kicker raised and main down sometimes. Can someone give me a starting point? Thanks!

You want Panther's stainless steel kicker tie bar kit:

You must have missed this article.

There is a link at the top of that article that points to a Montauk.

I would like to add the reference posted is not a Montauk. Your two motors will sit at different heights. I made a tie bar for my kicker that was bent, however I disconnect them when I not using the smaller motor. The main reason for disconnecting is b/c I don’t like the extra tension on the steering cable and tie bar.

donp,

Sure it is a Montauk.

I listed 2 links. I have installed the Panther tie bar on both models.
