Ok, I have repaired and completely sanded the outside of my hull. Completely repaired and sanded the console and am working on the repairs and sanding the interior. I am going to re gel the outside of the hull and the console. I have purchased the original Light Grey for the hull and the Desert Tan for the interior spot repairs. While sanding everything out I noticed that the console seems to be much closer to the hull color than the interior color. The boat is an 83 so it is plenty faded. My question, is the console Light Grey or Desert Tan?

It is neither.
When I renovated my 1983 Outrage 18 I never found a Spectrum color that matched the color of my standard console (same as a Montauk's).
I ended up having a local supplier custom color match some gel coat to the console so I could fill some holes.
I then found that the color was different on different spots on the console.

Tom, well that throws a wrench in it. I can see the arguement for making it light grey so the profile looks right. Or the arguement for the desert tan so it blends with the interior. Hopefully I will ge some more input. Thanks
