Guys , I have found a deal on a 115 etec for my 18 outrage and was wondering if anyone could give me feed back on performance. Thanks BG

Barry,
It depends on you. If you want to go fast, beat the pants off your buddy then maybe 115 is not for you. If you want to get places but are ok taking a little longer or you are going places where you will never hit WOT anyway (think ocean with 3+ footers), then a 115 will be fine.

The boat I quoted belongs to Tony in California. I only know about it since we both have the same year/model engine and talk occasionally.
To add a bit of information, your performance may be a bit better given the E-TEC is ~30 lbs lighter (370 lbs vs 402lbs) than the Yamaha F115.

The Etec will also give you more mid range torque, and with the 115 your fuel economy and oil usage will be excellent (especially if you use the Xd-100 oil and setting).
Go to
http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/ and click on the Performance Reports tab, select the 115, and then the boat that's the closest to yours in terms of design and weight to get an idea of what you'll see for numbers.
