I have a 13' 1970 Boston Whaler with 40 hp and a 15" shaft but has no tilt and trim. Thinking about installing a CMC PT-130 but it soulnds like it might be a little big because it carries up to 130 hp motor. Has anyone ever used this product? Just wondering if it will make the boat sit funny....it has a 5 or 6" set back. Does this effect the handeling any? Thanks for any info

I have experience with that product and say-Yes-100%

It does set back your engine 6". That may be an issue with steering.
You can mount your engine a couple inches higher, because of it. Better fuel economy, etc.

I have on on a 16 foot delta draft with a 30hp but it is the smaller model i belive they make a few different sizes, and the work great. Take desertsport advice and mount it a few inches higher.
