I spied a transom on a old 13' between two warehouses while working (meter dept), I investigated, and the story goes that it's been sitting under this battered tarp for about 15 yrs not moving. The owner used to go fishing in it with his dad since he was a kid, his dad "passed on" 15 yrs ago and the guy can't sell it because, he's just got too many memories with his dad attached to the boat, so it just sit's there. I suggested selling it to a "Dad & his son" to continue the "Legend". I felt bad for the old girl still sitting proudly on her trailer even though weathered.

Maybe you could get the owner to join this site and it would either get him excited enouh to restore it or emotional enough to sell it to someone here that could enjoy it

I'll try next time I go there, I do come across quite a few Whaler's in my line of work (I'm always in someone's driveway), sometimes the owners come out of the house, this is BAD for me cause, it usually end's up in a lengthy "Whaler" conversation making me late, of course I always recommend "Whaler Central" before I leave.

Thank's, I did that, now she's got a smashed port side were a truck backed into it (repairable). I located the owner, who I'm told is "Impossible" (this just mean's it's gonna take me a little bit longer, that's all). My plan is to "Bounce the Cabbage" (Large roll of $10's & $20's in a rubber band) as it does most of the "Talkin" in any conversation. I'm only gonna offer $600 max. as it's just a hull. Wood is all checked, lower unit is missing (probably stripped by someone).

Sometimes memories will have very high, stubborn price tag that may not be realistic and/or it could be deemed a rude act to try buy his memories. Good Luck. I agree that the boat belongs in the water and not a constant land locked reminder of his happier days.
