I recenlty purchased a 1995 Montauk 17 that was garage kept and is in like new condition aside from not having a Bilge sump hole cover. It appears that at one time it may have had a cover as there are screw holes present. Any ideas as to what that bilge cover may be made of and pictures of it in place?

There is a drawing of the sump cover in the "Dowloads" section.
You can download the drawing there.
The early Montauks used Teak plywood.
The later Montauks used Starboard or Whalerboard.
Here are some photos of my prior 1978 Montauk with the teak plywood sump cover.
