Did I just get scammed?! Has anyone used these guys?
I made an order on the 11th and it still has not arrived. I tried calling, i've tried emailing, no response and phone just goes to voicemail. DON'T USE THESE GUYS!

Thanks for the post, good to know. Never used them before but had a similar experience recently with a parts order from Dixie Marine Sales, wouldn't recommend them.

Have you logged into their site to see if the order has shipped? Some places deliver fast, others need to first get the product from their supplier, then ship it to you. If given the opportunity, always create an account to track the order and get updates, especially from sites you don't normally order from.

All they have to do is answer one of the 2 emails or 3 calls i've made. It's not asking too much. Also, i shouldn't have to make an account and spread my information even further across the web to buy a $30 part. Sorry this is just a rant.
What happened to customer service in this country?! Send me my stuff xxxxxxx...

By the way, my confirmation sheet says the part is in stock and shipped complete.

Sometimes I forget that not everyone is completely dialed into modern, electronic business practices. Hell, I have a few friends who have never even used a computer.
Not trying to be a xxxx, just hoping those are decent folks you ordered from that are having a hard time making the "IT age" work for them.
Reminds me of a song about a Vietnam vet home from the war and walking around in a daze.

3 weeks is pretty darn long, but here's hoping your stuff arrives eventually.

Thats a good point of view, Theo. I recently had a similar situation with a company who has a good reputation and still should so I will not mention their name. I felt it was taking an extraordinarily long time to receive a rather large item I purchased. So I waited, then I called. I found out the guy was stuck at a trade show and didn't have time to crate and ship the item before he left. Then I find out the owner of the whole company is also the guy who answers the phone, makes the items, puts them together and puts them in the crate, with a little help from a couple immediate family members. Sometimes these operations are smaller than we assume they are and when we learn the truth it puts things in perspective. It also helps that it is 5 degrees outside with 6" of snow in Michigan. Needless to say, there is no real rush to get this part anyway except to satisfy my own craving to have it.
Moral of the story: Sometimes we jump to conclusions and it is in our nature to do so. Sometimes we are right and other times we are wrong. This is one situation where it always feels better to be wrong.

This deal has entirely little to do with whether they are tech savvy or not. They run a business and except people's incredibly hard earned money. At the bare absolute minimum regardless of financial situation, IT capability, it's not only common courtesy but an absolute requirement to answer the phone/emails and return calls!
If you suck at every other part of your job except for communication, which is coincidently the easiest part, your business can still survive. I just don't get it, and it's not just about them stealing my $40. My rant continues!! Ah.. I feel so much better... ;)

I ordered parts from this company a couple of months ago and had a very good experience. Coincidently, my purchase was also for about $40. I received my order within a week.

Did you pay with a credit card? put a dispute in with the card company and reorder some where else.That's what I would do. If they don't return your calls or e mail. keep a record of the calls and the time you called.
