This seems to be a good deal on a whaler. I dont know the owner or anything, but I know its been for sale for awhile and he just dropped his price. Seems like a great deal???
any comments?

Does anyone have any feedback on the performance of this year and size whaler?

It appears to be a great price. If you are in the market move quick to get your name in and then take some time to research. You will have to pick up a trailer. The e-tec alone is quite a purchase and should move out that boat as stated by the add .BG

Looks like one of those deals that could be too good to be true, or don't miss it. I had a similar opportunity on my pickup. I ran a carfax on it and headed out. When I got there it looked new. I crawled all over it, test drove it, wrote a check, and drove it home. two and a half years later tells me I made the right choice. Could be the buy of a lifetime.

Could be! Check it out for sure, you never know, but keep in mind that there have been numerous Whaler scams on CL. Let us know how it turns out.

As for the price, consider this is a very soft market. Prices appear to be rock bottom cheap (Montauk for 4k) or out of this world ( 80's Outrage 22 with old motors for $23K)

I like the late 90's Outrages before they went to the new design. Like the t-top, radar etc. That is a good setup. There are several around me that are similar.

As for price, everyone has their own idea. If me, 15-16k would be awesome.

Check it out!

If you want a 20 foot Whaler of this vintage, the price is certainly good. I bet he'd take 15, add a new trailer and you're all set for a total of 17 or so.

I did look at this boat quickily last year when I saw it for sale and he was asking $27K. It needs a detailing, seems ok other wise. It seems like the t-top is OEM? Can anyone tell by the picture? Were there any noteable probems with this year and model?
Maybe someone that has one can comment?
