I got this thing for $900. The pink slip that i have for it is from a differnt boat. It says it is a 1963 fshprc. There are no other identifiing marks on it. do you think that i got a good deal.

That is indeed an older 16/17' Whaler hull.

It also has a newer style console.
I can't quite tell what year the console is but you can look through the article section and let us know.
Looks like a 1983-1985 console but again, can't be positive without seeing the face.

I have been looking for such a project as I already have a new RPS and had quite a few other parts.

Depending on the condition of the trailer and the bottom of the hull, I don't think you did bad at all.

Was Fisher Price the originial manufacturer of Boston Whaler? I think they were and in that is the case, your pink slip is correct.

bernard,

No, there is no way of telling what model it left the factory as by looking at the hull as the hulls were all the same.

You could ask Chuck Bennett at Boston Whaler what model it was by sending him the Stencil number. [mail]cbennett@whaler.com[/mail]
