Well the 83'Outrage will be delivered this week, and after measuring the garage(24') I dont think it will fit on the trailer. So whats the best way to back the trailer in ,lift the boat (from underneath) and place on stands ,then pull the trailer out. With the intention of reversing everything in the spring. Thanks.

Jerry,
The easiest way is to leave it at my house. I'll make sure it gets fed, watered and walked on a regular basis.

Build a cradle on dollies and remove the boat from the trailer outside of the garage. Then roll the boat and cradle into the garage. Much easier that way. Sliding the boat off the trailer is a breeze, as I have done it with a 22 outrage in about 15 minutes.

Scott has built one you can model yours after. CLICK HERE to see a picture of his. He also had a great method for getting it put on the cradle -- you can read about it in the THREAD discussing his project.

I diddo Jeff. Also, can you put a new tongue on your trailer that you could pull a pin and rotate it towards the rear, out of the way? I've seen folding tongues on a lot of trailers.

moose,Lafette is too far away, but thanks for the offer,I do like the dolly and I have thought about the folding tongue, when the boat arrives tomorrow Ill probably angle it in the garage till I either winterize her or do one of the above, dolly or folding tongue, thanks,Jerry

According to my wife, the best way to store a boat is on someone else's property. :@
