I was looking at a used 150 Sport when I looked at the Whaler site and found they are now gone from the lineup. Have you guys seen the new Super Sport 150 and what do we think of it?

If I got a Super Sport, I think I'd go without the cheesy colors. I like the seating options though. Looks like the SS bridges the gap a bit between the Whaler fishing boats and everyone elses ski/sport boats. Seems like more people might get into Whalers to me. They need a slightly larger one to really get 6 people on the water.

burtim,

Yes, I see the new 150 Super Sport and it is quite different from the previous 15' models.

Depending on what you need or want from your Whaler, have you considered the 150 Montauk?

Looks like you now have 2 choices in 15' models now.
1. 150 Super Sport
2. 150 Montauk

Always nice to have choices.
Let us know what you end up purchasing.

They don't list the price of the 150 Super Sport yet but they do show the 150 Montauk at a little over $19k

Interesting prices these days. I checked the other Montauks on the Boston Whaler site just for GP.
These list prices are rounded.
1. 150 Montauk = $20k
2. 170 Montauk = $25k
3. 190 Montauk = $30k

Check out the new 2009 lineup today on Boston Whalers website, build-to-order....

Joe,

Yesterday they listed the price on the site at just under $14K without the options. The seats look nice to me. I need something more for all around use. My wife isn't excited about the center consoles. She liked the Ventura I showed her. The 150 SS is a compromise between a fishing boat and a runabout. She feels like she wants to "sit down in the boat" more in whatever we might get. She isn't very happy with the 130 because it is too small and she feels unprotected since the sides are so low. It looks like the SS is higher on the sides. I like the 13 Sport we have but agree that it is too small. We'd like to take on some larger freshwater lakes.
