i have a 1987 yahmaha 150 and at high speed/rpm's the warning buzzer will go off, i shut down the motor for 5-10 secondsand everything is normal, it only happend a few timeswith no other warning lamps in dash lit? ? please help, thanks erin and matt 88 revenge w/t 20':(
the oil leval is ok and engine does not seem to be overheating , i have both mechanical guage in dash and lights in spedo assy, .....;)

Hi Matt,
Did you notice if the engine goes into RPM reduction mode? My sense is that it may be the temp sensor. The Yamies are sensitive to temp. Have you serviced your water pump recently? I change mine every other season. A weak water pump or clogged tube could do this.
