Hello, I've just purchased a used 2006 90 e-tec salt water edition.
I am rigging it myself, and am having trouble with the wiring harness connectors. I'm not sure of the routing of the harness and where the connectors should lay. Every position I've tried interferes with the engine cover. I can't get the cover to close.
Does anyone have a pic they could share with me?
Greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the 90, but on the 175 you need to route the wires in the grommet on the right side (as viewed from behind the engine), then forward where you will find a wire bundle. This is probably hidden within split tubing. Run the wires up there and you should be able to make your first connection to the EMM. The second connect is made on the port side, route the harness around the back, follow the wires already there and use wire ties and clips.

I've got a 2005 etec 90.. The holes in the grommet, looking stright on. left upper-throttle cable . left lower-shift cable, mid upper-main wiring harness, mid lower-fuel line, right-battery cable. use soapy water to set the grommet in place. connectors are under the flywheel cover.

Thanks guys.
That was exactly what I was looking for. The connectors in the photo are what I was having trouble with. I see now that they go inside the black cover.
Also, the soapy water trick will help to get the grommet in the right place.
Thanks Again
