Hey everyone, I'm new to the site and so far have found it to be very informative. I just bought a 1985 15' SS and am in the process of getting her ready for next season. My question is are the bollards supposed to fit into the chock plate loosely? The square parts on the bollards are a bit smaller than the square holes on the chock plate, which actually allows the bollards to spin instead of locking them in place. Both the square part on my bollards and the square holes on my chock plate are tapered. The widest dimention of the sqaure of my bollards is 1/2 inch and the widest dimention of the square holes of my chock plate is 5/8 inch. I currently sent an email to Sue at Twin Cities Marine and have asked her the same question, but incase she can't answer I decided to ask here. Thank you in advance for any information.

Joe, yes I have read the article and have also studied the parts breakdown. Line 2 "Outer line chalks" in the article does mention that the bollards are supposed to lock and keep from spinning, but I want to make sure that if I buy new bollards that they will fit the chock plate that I have. However, if I have the correct bollards then I will have to buy the chalk plate. This is why I was asking if anyone knew the dementions of the square part of the bollards. Thanks.

Mike , I have a 1985 15cc and I have the same thing you described. The port side spins and the starboard side locks tight???? looks to be worn and appears to be rounded off ? the one that locks tight is 3/16" to 1/2"hope this helps BG
