Okay, I know a lot of you out there hate the Rage, and will probably condemn me for having a Jet Boat, but at least it's a Whaler, right? Anyways...
Lately (and by "lately" I mean the past 2 fishing outings), after getting to my fishing spots out off the west coast of Florida, I have had a tough time getting the motor to start after cutting it off. I have never had this issue before, as once the boat was nice and warmed up then it would turn over without a blink. Fortunately I keep a small can of starting fluid on my boat just in case something bad were to happen such as this. Once I hit it with the fluid then it takes a little less time to fire up, even though it still has some occasional issues. The only thing I can think of is a possible higher concentration of oil in the gas, as I have disconnected the oil injection and mix the gas myself. I am pretty confident that I am mixing the correct 50:1 mixture in the boat, but who knows. The only thing I know is that she used to fire right up after sitting, and now she is not.
Anyone that might be able to provide any insight into this issue would make my day, as I have a fishing excursion planned for this weekend and don't want to keep having to open up the hood and squirt her with starter fluid.
Thanks, and happy Whaling!
