Could Someone Help me figure out how to post pictures to a thread without having to click on anything? I would like to have my pictures with the article instead of having a hyperlink...

Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken the only way to do that is by clicking on Reply in the post. Then you will see the options below it with a box entitled "Browse" add the file path for your image and you can upload it. Must be a .gif .jpg. .png and cannot exceed 98 kb.
Hope this helps

Images must be either JPEGS (.jpg) or a GIF (.gif) file format. Also the file must be under 98kb which is about 640x480 pixels and the name of the file can not contain any spaces, dashes, symbols, etc. etc.

Example of names that will not work.
my 13 sport.jpg
my-13sport.jpg
my/13.jpg
my13sport!.jpg
my whaler.jpg

Examples of what would work
my13sport.jpg

Now I'm confused! (Which is not uncommon) I thought that I read somewhere here that we would no longer be able to add a link within a post in the new site format.

Lets give it a try shall we -- this LINK is to a picture hosted on my personal server. Wow that boat looked rough before I started my project. :o

Now let's try putting the photo in the forum itself using the photo button below and pointing to my server.

Seems to be working fine.

ioptfm,

That was for personal pages. We prefer not to have outside photo linking in those pages.

You can still link to a photo as Blue_Northern has done above. This is acceptable for one or two photos in an entire post to make a point. What we don't want here in the forums is someone's photography history by posting 100's of photos on one forum thread. This slows down the particular thread by trying to load too many photos so keep it simple, please.

Forgot to add... Here is a tip... What are all those little buttons below the Quick Reply box used for?

Once again my old brain just couldn't compute fast enough. I think I have it now though, unless I run out of memory! :)
