I really don't know what to think about the new 13. Maybe I'm just living in the past...

However, it makes me want to baby my 13 so she lasts for a long, long time!

Here is a clickable link. It drives me crazy having to copy these into my URL: bar.

By the way, I am more to the classics myself. Something about the new models just doesn't feel right to me. :( Hang on to your old hulls!

Glad I'm not alone as I was thinking the EXACT same thing...

The word "Sleek" does not exactly come to mind, does it ?

I am sure Whaler in thrilled with a Dealer releasing photos that are to be embargoed from their dealer meeting.

I do Like the new hulls. The 22 is a great looking boat with an enclosed console and windscreen. You can totally tell they are aiming for Everglades. Though I love the lines of the classics if I were to buy a new boat today I have to say Whaler my be back on the list.

The 13 footer is totally ridiculous looking. No further description is necessary. check out the guy, (potential customer) checking out the brownish orange 13 footer, in the checkered shirt with the pedal pusher fag pants on. I think is fly is even open. He might buy one.

If Whaler wants to try something different then they need to get back to basics! Do you ever supose they wonder why so many boat lovers are finding the old classics and restoring them! Duuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! The 22 looks great, but the "Super Duper Sport" looks like the bumper cars that we used to ride at the county fair! Maybe a survey among Whaler Owners would help them open their eyes! :(

I really don't like that 13.....Maybe the colors throw the lines off ... or maybe the photos aren't doing it justice....

I think Whaler is going after the Seadoo crowd with their 13 footer. The original Whaler (the 13 footer) has been reduced to a toy.

Looks like they made the 13 even bigger, wider and probably heavier bvut kept the rating at 40 hp. Should make for a overly safe, slow and probably softer ride. I'll pass

yes the 13 is oddly misshapen howeaver i do like the colors, although not clasic whaler, i have always been a fan of colored hulls. the larger whalers look very sharp.

I like the larger boats and even the little 13 , they all reinforce the love I have for the old classics ! Other than the Logo a new owner gets very little of what I know to be a Boston Whaler.
We need to wish them well as they struggle to keep the place open, with the boating market as it is they need to just sell boats even if it means targeting the yahoos,I'm sure an extensive market study was completed and they did what they had to do, gone are the days of an overbuilt boat that will outlive you and continue to increase in character and value.

I'm not crazy about the new 13, I prefer the classic. At first glance the 25 looks really nice but the helmsman won't get much side protection from the new top design. The actual helm postion is well behind the sides of the t-top/side windows. In a beam sea with high winds it could get wet? Goes for whoever is standing next to the helmsman....Then again it doesn't really matter as all these boats are off the scale when it comes to price. :o I'll stick with what I know and thats the classic Whalers. I think these newer designs will only boost the value of the older proven hulls.

Although not much mention of the post '03 150 Sport on these boards, have to say our 2008 is the perfect boat for my wife & me here in Central NY. Recently sold our '67 13 Sport. Such a huge difference.

I wonder if the whole Sport line will have the new look. Wouldn't be interested in it myself but I'm sure it'll hit a nerve with the younger crowd. Did read on cwave about an increase (?) in deadrise on the 150 Sport to 20 degrees. No idea what the pre-09 is. Ours rides great for it's size. Comments?

Damn Binkie, you called that one. I am not impressed with the 13' either, it has a cheap
look to it.
