I'm kind of enamored with the looks of a Dauntless 13 but dunno how they perform on the water or if there are any downside issues. I guess a 13 is pretty small to have that consol but it looks OK. Never been in one. I know they were discontinued quite a while back.
If anyone has any remarks pro or con please let me know. The one I'm considering is a '98 and has been used very little and stored inside most of it's life. Pics look like a new boat.
Thanks for any advice. This one will take some travelling to buy.
Regards to all,
Mark

Hey Mark,
The guy in the slip next to me had a mid 90's 13 Dauntless until this season (sold in just a few days). Very nice boat... had room to comfortably cruise around with 4 adults. It all depends what you want to do with it. If you plan to fish with 4 adults you will have a challenge. I would not take a boat like this in open water (strictly bay or lake) I believe this model was closer to 14 Ft, so BW marketing staff must have had a reason to call it a 13....:o
The center console seemed to work out just fine on this model. Quite a beefy boat for this size.
You did not mention what engine will come with this package. The boat I am referencing had a 50 HP merc 2 stroke. I think max was 60 HP, but I am not sure. I recall the owner telling me that water skiing was challenge (but he was no light weight either :D) The newer hulls were much heavier then classic hulls. I would bet this weighs as much a classic 17ft...
Overall I thought this was a very nice well made boat.
Good Luck...
