i am replacing the springs on my trailer for my 17' montauk. what is the load weight of the boat so i can install the correct springs

You want to buy springs that match the maximum carrying weight for the trailer. It should be on the ID plate for the trailer. If your trailer itself is too small to carry your boat, putting heavier springs on the trailer is not the right path to take.

mabarry ,i have a 1981 montuk weigh boat alone is 900 lbs. put you have to add motor , gas, and etc, there is a spring shop in BROCTON MA, called WOODWARD SPRING ON MONTELLO STREET in your area bring the old ones thay will match up good luck

thanks, the trailer came with the boat and is plenty big enough i just didn't know what to replace them with
