What 3 blade aluminum prop should I run on this new motor on my 13 footer? Dealer says 10" pitch, I`m thinking 11" . I`ll never carry more than two adults, and don`t use it for watersports. It will be mounted on a 6" setback bracket

Rich,
What prop were you running with the 35?

Moose,
Don`t know pitch on the 35. Was an antique motor before thru-hub exhaust.
Found a test in the Internet with a 13 Ft. Whaler, same motor as the one I just bought, using a 10" pitch prop. Results were 24.5 mph at 6000 rpm. Seems to me that an 11" pitch might get an extra couple mph, and bring the rpm down a couple of hundred.

If your new motor comes with pt&t I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot more than a fixed one. I find that trim means a LOT on the 13. That 11" sounds good but I'm sure TWC can offer much more info.

No trim-n-tilt on the new Merc. its already overweight at 157lbs, which is alway a problem with 4 strokes on 13 footers. At least its a short shaft motor, which is only available on the Merc. Tohatsu, and Nisson 25. Actually they all are the same motor. We`ll see how it goes.
