Hi everybody my wife just came home with a new boat about an hour ago. It is a 1995 GLS 13'. So far the repair list is stacking up pretty fast. The boat was kept in the water and the transom drain tube has corroded away where the lip is supposed to be. I dont want water entering into the wood core in that area. I looked at the tube and it looks like it is a foot long. I have never seen a foot long drain tube for sale. I dont even know how I would get it out. Antbody have any ideas on this one?

Crashly,
Take a look at some of the OEM Parts Photos. I think you will be amazed at what is there.
You might also take a look at some of the articles as there are some pertaining to the brass thru hull drain tubes.

Thanks for the link to the pictures. I guess now I need to find a dealer to order the parts through.

One of our sponsors is a "Master" Boston Whaler dealer.
If they don't have it, or can't get it, then it most likely is no longer readily available.
Talk to Sue Lodel at Twin Cities Marine.

Crashly,
Instead of replacing your drain tube with another brass one, you may want to consider using a PVC tube instead........for obvious reasons.
Good luck and congrats on your new Whaler!!

I always replace with pvc. Personal preference.
