I am the proud new owner of a 1998 Boston Whaler Dauntless. I am getting ready to put it in the water next week and am anticipating the need for additional seating and storage. I contacted Boston Whaler directly a couple of weeks ago to get more information on the optional accessories available for my boat and they kindly referred me to my local Whaler dealer, who has not responded to my e-mails and phone calls.

In the 1998 Whaler catalog, there is an optional "full width stern seat with storage and removable backrests" available for the 18' Dauntless. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find this item - new or used? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You should be able to get a new one from any whaler dealer. Twincitiesmarine.com can find you one for sure if no one else can. Ask for Sue Lodell. The guys are the BEST as far as customer service by far.

Unfortunately many dealers don't want to be bothered with some parts sales.
I know for a fact that some don't even want to take the time to look up the parts numbers in the parts catalogs as they don't want to waste their valuable time on such a small profit.

However, Twin Cities Marine does take the time (and quite a few other Whaler dealers also).
I would contact Sue Lodel at Twin Cities Marine. She can tell you if the item is still available or not.
