Wow, after 7 weeks of researching, askings tons of questions and many hours in the garage working on my 40 HP Yamaha, I finally got her running top notch. The kids and I just returned from our test run in the lake today and she ran beautifully. If it weren't for the support of several members on this forum, I probably would not have been able to get as far as I have. Thanks a million guys!! Looks like our summer is going to be a good one afterall.

Here's a photo of the kids this morning (6/21/2008) when we beached the Whaler for a little swimming and relaxation.

Glad you got it running. I could tell you were suffering from withdrawals. Have a ball!

Thanks Moose, I WAS suffering from withdrawals!! As a matter of fact, the kids and I are going kneeboarding tomorrow, Sunday, and then going to do a little fishing. On Tuesday, we're hooking the Whaler up to the truck and towing her from Dallas Texas to Gainesville Georgia at Lake Lanier for a week. Some friends of mine have a slip at the Aqualand marina and I'm going to keep the Whaler in the water the week I am there. Can't WAIT!

Nice to hear your rebuild was successful. Have fun on Lake Lanier. Grease those hubs....that's a long haul across I-20.

Thanks. Just so happens I filled the bearing buddy’s yesterday evening. Should be an interesting trip. My crew’s ages are four and six years old and I am the only adult. So.....keeping those two occupied during a 12 hour road trip is going to be interesting. Thank God for portable DVD players.

We're taking the Whaler out today for Part II of out shakedown sea trials before we hook her up to the truck and tow eastward.

Thanks for your help TexasOutrage......I appreciate it very much.

Here's a photo from Sundays run on the lake. The kids and I are very happy to be back out on the water once again.

Glad your up and running CES and sorry you couldn't have it hooked up for the Texas get together this year, but hey, there's always next year. Not sure what the venue will be after seeing the NE Whaler get-to-gather. Maybe a day trip to max out participation will be the ticket to Galveston, or a cruise by all to a yet to be decided destination!!

Great see you are back in the water CES. Was the steering the only problem or did you find/replace more while you were in there?

Great looking family by the way. :D
