I know many of you have seen these thread about my Bottom Paint quest from last year.

Finished

Stripping

Well I just went over today to pick up a couple gallons to send to the owners who bought my Outrage. While there I found out that they are no longer manufacturing their own bottom paint due to costs associated with EPA regs. However, they are buying their paint now from Sea Hawk which is the OEM ablative bottom many on a lot of boats including Hatteras (I am told). The nice thing is though they are not making the paint they are still able to get their custom bases made for custom mixing which means Desert Tan was still available. I was told the the new paint is the same except for it drys to a harder finish. Which was my only gripe about the first batch because my keel rollers would tend to mush the paint on the keel. With the new paint I am told this will be less of a problem.

So with all that is there still interest from members for the paint? If so please let me know and I will so my best to get you some.

I do have an extra gallon of the new stuff I purchased today if someone wants a gallon.

$150 shipped UPS to you.

Here are some other images of the boat running with the paint.

I'm glad you sold it Jeff. I was thinking of buying it, but I have so many projects going and I'm living in Holland for the rest of this year. Hopefully I will be able to get some when I am ready to do mine.

Jeff
I am interested in a gallon. I hope to have my bottom stripped on my montauk during this winter to be finished next spring. What is the shelve like for the paint? Can you get more?

Ed,

Yes I can get more and the shelf life is 5 years+ if sealed in a cool dry place.
