I have recently acquired a 1983 Montauk that I am in the process of restoring to like new condition. I've built my own console and seats but now need to find somewhere to purchase the original railing system for the boat. Does anyone know of someone who is in possession of railings that they no longer need? I'd be glad to take them off their hands. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer it is much appreciated.

I recall the Montauk railings were made by CMI in Massachusetts. They are still in business. Give them a call.

I see Specialty Marine (a whalercentral.com sponsor) is offering newly manufactured ones In this link

They have gotten good reviews from members who ordered from them. Not sure anyone has bought their rails.

I just purchased a set of RPS seat frames from Martin Marine Design in South Carolina. I haven't installed them but they look really nice. He also makes and sell railings.

Ray has an Ebay store or you can contact Ray Martin at his shop: (843)784-6110

Ray's Ebay store is at http://stores.ebay.com/Martin-Marine-...ine-Design

Ray, has also made my custom rails around the wind screens and my platform/ladder. Great job and good guy to work with. See the pics on my page.

Happy fathers day!
