Hey all--

I grew up on a '84 Outrage with a 150 Johnson Outboard. I've got that itch for my own boat now. There are two available that I'm looking at, one is a '88 17' Montauk w/ Yamaha 90 and the other is a '98 Dauntless 18 with a 135 Optimax. What are people's opinions of these boats? Any major drawbacks to these specific years/models/engines? Any one a real standout at anything?

I live in Colorado so I'm mostly going to use this for inland lakes, high mountain lakes, and mostly for fishing. I'm really leaning toward the Dauntless because it has the trolling motor already mounted, though that may be a bit short sided.

What are people's opinions of these boats and how will they compare to an '84 Outrage? Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS!!
