I'm still hoping my mechanic will have my boat ready for me by this weekend. But if not, we'll just take our 13. Seems like perfect weather for that little sucker anyway.
This is going to be another one of the coolest events of a lifetime. It will go in with my memories of this trip to Europe. :D
I will launch from Port Washington early Saturday morning so I can hopefully meat up with you near City Island.

I'm in. See you at Greens Ledge right around 0730, looks like wmeier from CW will be there too.

I picked up another fuel tank so no need for the City Island stop I had been contemplating.

Rock and Roll! Let's go!

Oh heck yea! I'm going to dunk the dog in Nyack @ 8:30. It's about 30 miles to Lady Liberty, so that should afford enough time for a nice leisurely 30mph cruise. Is anyone else heading down river? What time, what channel?

Looking forward to this epic gathering!

Jim,
I will be leaving Smithtown, Porpoise Channel, at 0700. I dont think i will meet all you northeners at Greens Ledge. I am going to cruise the long island coast and maybe meet up with some other long island whalers along the way. We will most likely meet up with you around execution rocks. I will be in contact.
Arthureld, I will try to hook up with you outside PW. I will be in a 72 ribbed outrage with a green bow dodger and merc 150.. Keep your eye out B)

I and my skilled Navigator (7) will make ready and be underway early, a westerly course will see us off Greens Ledge at 7:30 AM,from there we'll steam futher West until we're joined off Mamaroneck by Capt. Robert (who deserves all the credit for logistics) and his fleet, again Westerly keeping an eye along the Southern waters for others who hopefully will come together near Throggs Neck and then onward to "The Lady". We are pleased to say that the number of confirmed participants thusfar has met our expectations and the event is the largest ever to take place in the Northeast !

Hi Guys,

Any idea what time the members coming from the Long Island Sound
will be passing the Throggs Neck Bridge? I plan on leaving from Little Neck
Bay and would try and join up for the in-bound trip.

I took my boat out with the new hydraulic steering and jackplate. Everything seemed fine so I will be trailering the boat to Bar Beach boat ramp in Port Washington tomorrow morning. I should be on the water about 7 am.
Throggs Neck at 8:30 works for me.
Bob, take down my cell # 631 741 0835
If you get a chance, post or PM yours or give me a call.

Sounds and looks like everyone is going to have a great time.

I am headed to Portland, Oregon today so I won't be able to hear the reports of this trip until I get home.

Please send me some photos so I can put them in an article for everyone to view.

With multiple boats backing out we still managed to bring in 24 from Rhode Island to Maryland ! A special thanks to everyone who showed up as well as the U.S.C.G who was ever present and ran with us, hope you noticed the Fly-by at the Statue(by one of us here,Thanks Yiger) , the NYPD also was watching from a distance, Capt. Mike from MarineMax at the helm of the 345 Conquest. With our limited experience with this type of thing and from what we have learned Capt. Robert and I can only warn you of future events....stand by.....Thanks for a good safe trip, Jim

Jim, thanks for the mention, but I can't take credit for the fly-by. I did arrange it, but I didn't pilot it... I was able to scam a ride for the event last minute on a friend's boat, so a couple friends of mine did the flight for me. They got a few pictures and have sent them to my email account at work, so I should be able to post a couple on Monday. They mentioned the pictures weren't the best, but I'm sure people will still like to see them. What a great event! I can't wait for another, and all my social plans are now cancelled to put extra time towards getting my 17' done!

Yiger , the fly by you arranged was excellent, seeing my daughter and friends jumping up and down waving to the coptor like a bunch of six year olds was great, we had engine problems but still had a great time...Jack
