Welp, we are planning here in Texas to have up to 12 adults and a couple of young ones show up for the first Texas Boston Whaler get-to-gether. Matter of fact, just got off the phone with Bob Younger, and confirmed about how much red meat (ribs and chicken) i need to get, and about the same amount of my famous baked beans. Looks like we will have a great turnout for out first event, and hopefully we make this an annual event!!

I hope to spend Saturday installing a new hydraulic steering system (thanks Seabob). Sunday and Monday my parents will put me to work opening the summer house. It's worth it for the free mooring and beach access! No boating planned- maybe next weekend.

The Weather man has provided promising news, the Crew has requested an outing to Pt.Jeff. New York to explore the sand dunes and test fly some new kites, can this get any better ? The crew plans the outings around the boat, with this in mind I had to bite my tongue all week in the Hospital as the single Moms offered up their child management difficulties to this(unknown to them) single Dad who has found the answer and it floats !!!

It's Fri. public school is closed, so I'm at home watching my little guy (5), The other crumb snatcher (1) is at day care next door, Mrs. mw is at work til 7pm, then working until 5pm on Sat., this leaves me as "mr. Mom" until Sat night at 5pm. It's "Memorial day weekend", it's close to "ZERO HOUR", AND I WANNA "SPLASH" ! All systems are "GO" except for "Bottom panting" and "engine test". I have cleverly planned my time to get this done while on parental duty in the next 24 hrs., this includes the usual all night "Whaler-thon" that is tradition in my driveway and garage on this weekend, so the Espresso is stocked up, spot lights ready, I'm goin in...

Well a hearty fair winds and following seas to all the Whalerites this weekend, and even to the less schooled fellow boaters who don't own a Whaler. Safety first and catch you after the weekend!!
