I am getting ready to buy a new trailer, plan on short tows under 500 miles a couple of times a year. Boat spends it's life on a lift behind the house.
What brand and size--saltwater is everyday here in s. florida.
Roller or float on?

you want a bunk style trailer with keel rollers. I have a Load Rite.. not sure what size.. I love how the boat sits on the trailer. Nice and low. Very Ez to tow around

Since you are in Southeast Florida I would look into getting a
continental trailer. They are made right there in your area and since you are there you can buy from the factory at wholesale prices. I would look in an "A" or "CA" 1830 model.

I agree with Jeff. Continental makes a great trailer. Bunks with keel rollers.
I would also consider side rollers for the stern to make loading effortless. They eliminate the tail wagging in the wind/waves.
One example

I have a Magic Tilt made in Fl as well. It is a BTW1517 model. Galvanized and plastic fenders. The boat sits low but the trailer is narrow enough to fit in a 2 car garage with room for the car as well. The bunks were covered with carpet. There is a new product out called Snap trax www.snapptrax.com. They are plastic pieces that snap on over the wood bunks coated with teflon for easy on and off. They replace the carpet that tears. After 2 years they still work great.
