Kamie,

Would you give more detail on the "Install amp & Speakers for ipod - amp in, speaker wire run, speakers not installed"? My kids all have them (ipods) and it might be a good addition for my boat.

With the 12 month boating season in Florida, sometimes maintenance never gets done, fix it when it breaks, is the motto of some boaters, not me, I like working on boats better than boating. In my days as a youth (yute) on Long Island, the sight and song of the first red wing blackbird in late march, was the trigger to start working on the boat with a target for a May first launch. these were the days of wooden boats, with which seemed like a total refurb every spring. How I loved it:)

TexasOutrage,
I installed the poly planar MZ-100 amp which can be used as a stand alone amp and comes with a volume control that turns the amp off. similar to the ME-50 amp that comes as part of the Poly Planar iPod kit, but on the ME-50 the volume does not shut the amp off. I also installed the IC-3.5PM which is an accessory input for anything that can output sound thru a RCA plug. The speakers are MA-800 box speakers that I plan to mount under the stern seat when it gets fixed. I might add an additional set of speakers or a possibly a subwoofer in the console once I see how it does for sound. I will take photo's next time I am down at the boat, Sunday is the day to document all the progress, but it was raining too much to uncover the boat.

Kamie I installed hinges on my outrage for the same reason you want to and they work great.

I installed two roughfully ten inches from the top and ten from the bottom.
They are not flush with the deck but they are smooth and not bad on bare feet.

I know they work great and look fine. And my boat mates love the fact that cover is not flying around the deck anymore.

Good luck

Blake

I feel the same as Scott. I have the teak all done and ready to reinstall, but, I need to compound and wax first. I have to install the new GPS. I really want to tackle the new drain tubes as well. I am waiting for my new RPS seat to come from halls, and my new Decals. I'm kinda in limbo right now. I hope to be done by opening of fluke season. If there is a fluke season.

Blake,
When I say they aren't level, I am really talking about the fact the anchor locker cover and the deck are not level with each other. I will need to shim the locker cover side, but 2, maybe 3 washers.
Believe me when I say, I so wanted to be out on Saturday, sunny and 70's. If the holes below the waterline had all been patched, I would have been in the water.

Right on.
I was out the last two saturday and actually took my wife camping the saturday last.

We spent the night on the beach.
Place called capers island / prices cut in South Carolina. Just awesome.

So I am sure you got the fever.
We do too.
