Hello again,
I have info regarding my whaler. some good, some bad. First off I do have a Nauset which was confirmed by Whaler yesterday. It was born on 2/19/70. You guys know your stuff! The bad news is that I may have a wet hull. I had the boat soda blasted...looks like there were some major repairs done and some bad patchwork on her keel which are weeping. I hope to get her weighed ( as I know her dry weight) and see how much water is being retained. I don'y want to get into major fiberglass work, if so I will be selling it. Any suggestions?

Jan,
The boat topside is in great shape, don't think you have to dump her because of some bad patch jobs. Get the hull weighted and then post some photos of the bad patches. Basic Fiberglass patching and gelcoat work is really not that hard and you should be back out on the water in no time.

I wouldn`t make any decisions until you get the hull weighed, and determine how many gallons of water are on board. BTW where do you have a picture of your Whaler posted. I can`t find it.

Nice looking Nauset Jan! Try and make it work. If you can take some pics of the damaged areas lets have look.
