Just purchased a 2004, 275 Conquest. Beautiful boat...!!! The former owner showed me he noticed that a few of the Alum. T-Top tubing members had cracked at the welds... Has anyone else had problems with recent Whaler T-Top welding cracks ????????? Looking more closely, I noticed that about 6 welds are failing or about to fail... I checked my Whaler warranty, and it does not exclude T-Tops... The former owner said the boat was not damaged in any way to cause the weld failure, nor is their any evidence of damage... Since I have quite a bit of experience with TIG welding Alum., it looks like the welds may not be welds at all, but a type of Alum. brazing, which is a much cheaper way of constructing a unit such as a T-Top....

Since the warranty is transferable, I would suggest you contact Whaler's customer service line.

David Pendleton had weld problems on his Conquest up on lake Superior. He's a member here, you may wish to look him up and PM him.
Good luck.

I checked with BW, and they say that the T-Top is an accessory and only has a 1 Year warranty... This is a cop out... They said to contact my local dealer and possibly the company that made the T-Top for them will help... I will do so and post the status... This boat is in fine shape otherwise, with low hours - Approx. 125...

What a crock of you know what that is. Heck, I had a 2004 Sea Hunt with a T-Top which came with a 5 year factory warrant. All of Sea Hunts tops are factory installed if you order it with the boat.
