Well after spending around $400. The motor is shot. She is at the dump now. My question is I am going to try to redo inside and outside of the boat, but do not know what to use to fill hole on th bottom of boat and what paint to use when i am done filling and sanding. Anything I need to know about this would help out a lot. I have never done this before and know nothing about products to use doing a project like this. I am doing all rub rail and evrything trying to make it look NEW.

Again thanks everyone that help with my motor questions.

Filling of holes can depend a lot on the type hole it is and where it is. Look at the thread on here that is entitled "I GOT HOLES" and that may help you with some of them. Marine Tex for others or a combination of the 2. I've found that I get better results in filling in several steps rather than trying to fill it completely on the first go round.

Which whaler do you own? Do you have any experience spray painting, or even painting in general. Do a search here, and also at Continuous Wave Boston whaler. You will find volumes of info available to you for restoring your Whaler. Do a search for Awlgrip Paint and also for gelcoating. Everything is out there and just keep asking questions. The answers will come.
