The ice has finally left Lake Michigan, and the weather was teriffic today. I was able to test the boat for the first time since beginning my restoration.
Top speed was 42 MPH (GPS) and the new bimini was rock solid. I was very pleased with the performance of the new fish finder and SS prop, both were well worth it.
Happy boating!

Great to hear of rewarding results found after all that effort in restoration ! She looks great ! I can't splash here in Connecticut until 4/18, it's not the weather or the boat not being ready, the crew has threatened mutiny without a trip to Disney!

I ordered it from Sue at Twin Cities marine. The price after shipping turned out to be around $450 I think, should be well worth it.

Scott -
She is fantastic. Good to hear you had a good maiden voyage. Funny thought about the old trailer. All the rust makes her look even better, if that is possible.
Snow is 99% gone, waiting for ramp dock to be installed on/about the 14th. While it will be cold for another month, I have my Carrhartt insulated work suit at the ready.

Scott, you give me hope, congrats on a good first outing!
Phil, we haven't had snow on the ground here for a while but it's still very cold and the wind out of the north east today makes it feel even worse (big seas too). Soon... I keep telling myself.
