We just purchased a 1966 13' SS Boston Whaler with a 2000 Mercury 40 HP motor (picture attached). We are missing a Brass Norman Pin for the port side of the stern. Does anyone know where I can begin to look for a brass norman pin? I came across a chrome pin but we want to restore the boat to it's original condition. Does anyone deal with someone who has original parts? Please let me know. Christine

gibbons (christine),

I don't know of any Norman pins in the Stern of the boat.
Are your referring to the Ski/Lifting eyes on each side of the stern of the boat?

If not, you might want to look in the 13' Parts Manual and see what parts you need.

There are two types of Norman Pins for the Bow of the 13' listed in the Parts Manual.

Let us know what you determine.

Thanks Joe for the quick response. Attached is a picture of the brass norman pins I found on continuouswave but they were original to the boat that was restored. We do not have the eye pins you speak of on the boat. I hope someone will have one laying around for me to purchase.

Christine,

I remember now.... My 1970 Sport 13' had those on each side through the full splashwell...
Wow, I had forgotten all about those Norman Pins being in the stern... And yes, mine were Brass also now that you jogged my memory...

Someone might have one of those laying around. If not, I would keep a look out on eBay also.

Good Luck.

BRONZE, not brass. The norman pins are BRONZE.
