Calling all southern Maine, New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts Boston Whalers!
For the 2008 season I hope to plan a busy season with:
Piscat River in May,
Portland, Maine in June
York River in July
Lake Winn in August
Merrimack/Cape Ann in September
1st Event - Piscataqua River
Proposed Dates: Saturday or Sunday May 17 or 18th.
Alternate dates are 31st nd or 1st of June.
Memorial Day is the 27th
History:
4 years ago we did Isle of Shoals. 3 years ago we were in Great Bay. 2 years ago we were flooded out. Last year we went up the river to Brian's local joint for lunch.
Please indicate your date preference for the Piscat River.
Thanks.

Count me in. Most likely will be motoring up from the Merrimack if the meeting spot is going to be 2KR. If we head up-river like last year, then I will trailer up and launch in Elliot.

Since many members of this ragtag group are CW members, I posted this invite there as well as here. I realize now it is going to be interesting have two parallel threads.
The thread on CW is actively discussing itineraries and dates. See
http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum7/...00955.html
If you have any questions about attending, logistics, etc, please let me know.

Just an update.
There are 9 boats angling to make it. For this far out, that is a good number. Looking at May 31/1 as primary dates with June 7/8 as rain dates.

As of today, Brian will be bringing his son (8?) and Newt will be with his kids (5 + 7 ish?) There may be a few others, still early.
You may want to check the thread linked above on CW to follow the particulars. Email or PM me with any and all questions.

Count me in too. Look forward to it. Now I really have to get moving on my boat...so many projects, so little time. Nothing new.

There will be 4-6 boats launching at the South Eliot boat ramp. A few others will meet us on the river. Looks like the count will be 10+
It appears a run to Isle of Shoals is the favored idea with a possible stop at York Harbor Marine for lunch. Regardless of what we do, it will be a great day.
If anyone has questions, or needs ramp directions, email me.

We originally planned to meet on the river, proceed to Isle of Shoals, then York Harbor for lunch. With the only restaurant for miles closed, we decided to head up river (similar to last year) instead. A great idea. At close to the head of the Cochecho River (feeds into the Piscatisqua) is Dover, NH and one attendee's local hangout. A great lunch on the deck, overlooking the river was had.
Weather could not have been better, blue sky, 74 and lots of blue calm water.
Despite a last minute itinerary change, Sweet Misery and 5 other boats attended.
Boats in attendance:
Revenge 19
Revenge 22 WD
Outrage 20
Montauk 170
Outrage 17
We even had a bit of excitement at the end of the day attempting to free a boat that had run aground . No luck. I bet he has floated off (4-6 hr wait) by now.
Here is the only good photo I took.
