Does anyone know where I can get a close match rattle can color for `99 Johnson 25hp. Its a sort of grey color.

Some automotive paint suppliers can make the color for you and put it in a rattle can.

Rich,

Try "ishopmarine.com" website. Click on Johnson, then year, hp, Serial No.
etc. "Paint is usually" identifed by part No. for spray and can colors available.
If they don't have, you may still get the correct Part Nos. to order elsewhere.

I have a 12 oz can of "Metallic Charcoal" Johnson/Evinrude touch-up paint that I never used on my '99 Johnson 175.

We eventually sold the boat to Joe. Here are some photos on Joe's personal site. Outrage 22 w/99 Johnson 175

It has a part number - 771228. I couldn't find any reference to that number in an internet search.

If it looks like a match, let me know if you want the paint and I'll send it to you.

West Marine sometimes have the paint. I found Evinrude paint in the past in a couple of covers. If they have it they get about 3 times what you might expect to pay for a can of rattle paint, about $14

Thanks for the info. The email system we got with this new hosting service is terrible. I should have checked the contact us list before and changed it. It's changed now - so fire me one if you're still of the mind.
