I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction to find replacement (NOS?) cable steering pulleys and possibly the aluminum guide mounts? I have come close to finding the pulleys (Sheaves) but none that are the same dimension.
Please Help!!

I don`t believe any cable and pulley steering part are manufactured any more for recreational boats. That type of steering system has gone by the wayside. You will have to find used or go with cable and pulley steering made for race boats. It is the only type of steering system allowed, because it is the safest. The pulleys are not cheap, and are far superior than the original pulleys on Whalers and other boats, back in the day. Check out this link. I use their pulleys on my 13 footer.

I replaced the pulleys, cable clamps and rope fairleads on my son's 13 and they work fine. They are made by Perko and I bought them from West Marine.

For $8 more each, the ones from btmco look to be made much stronger than the ones from West Marine, good find!

Yes, those pulleys are made to be used on boats that will go 100mph. Some folks are of the opinion that cable and pulley steering is not safe, but that's not true, as it is easily inspected, because everything is visible to the eye and touch, not like the other cable steering, who knows whats lurking inside the plastic sheath.:o
