Does anyone have experience with having a boat delivered? I am looking into having my uncle's 13 (plus trailer) shipped from Ohio to Florida. Any experience with this? Vendors or sources that you could recommend? Approximate cost? I noticed the links to a few transport compaines on the site here, just wondering if anyone has had experience - good or bad.

Thanks

Bet it would be cheaper to tow it yourself

I had a boat hauled from Ohio to California for $1 a mile.
At the time the price was about a $1.50 a mile but I got a company that needed a back haul.

The price today has risen due to fuel prices obviously.
For me, it is no longer worth having a boat shipped unless it is a multi-million dollar yacht. (I wish)

If you are buying from a dealer, check with them. If not, check with a dealer close by as they should know the haulers.
