I have searched and searched but come up empty every time.
Does ANYONE out there own, have seen or know of ANOTHER Super Sport GLS 17' ?
(with a fiberglass interior, not wood)
I have seen fifteen footers but never another seventeen.
They are not listed in in any brochure or "Owners List', even though I have submitted pictures to some sites (Hint Hint)
I hope that I might some day come across another......

Si,

The Sport GLS 17 (not Super Sport GLS) is relatively rare but not *very* rare. I have seen some around here. It is shown in the 1992 Boston Whaler catalog as well as the price list/dealer reference booklet.

I will have to look that up. I submitted a picture and my original packing slip to this site, for inclusion into the 'members boats' section, it was a while ago, maybe it didn't get though.

Hi guys, I just found this site and was surprised to see someone asking about the same boat I have.
Mine is a 1989 and I have since re-powered with a 70 suzuki. I often wondered about how many 17' footers there were like this as I have also never seen another one just like mine.

1989, that's interesting. The Sport 17 GLS is also shown in the 1990 catalog but is not in the August 1988 (beginning of 1989 model year) price list so this suggests it was a mid-year replacement for the Super Sport Limited in 1989.

I can't find any catalog with it in. The Boston Whaler site does not archive that far back!

I have a 1989 17 Sport GLS also. I live in VA Beach. I will post some pictures. I have run this boat 40 miles offshore.
